Each of the major nations has their armies described, and the sections include a "Common Tactis" heading. It does a good job describing Valenar's tactics, and actually describes it taking out a Karrnathi force, though it doesn't specifically mention Karrnathi cavalry. From browsing the Karrnathi section, it doesn't mention the Valenar; it's mostly about general tactics.

Sorry about that. I didn't actually mean "versus" as in actual military conflict, but just if there was differentiation in the tactics of different forces. Valenar and Karrnathi cavalry just came to mind randomly as two examples of vastly different tactics (I'd expect).

Oh. In that case, the answer your want is pretty clearly: Yes. General tactics are given for Aundair, Breland, Cyre, Karrnath, Thrane, Darguun, Droaam, Mror Holds, and Valenar. In addition, there are battle descriptions, and descriptions of various nations at war that would give you additional information if you glean it from there.
