However before this artifact could be properly studied, it was stolen from Morgrave University's storehouse of antiquities. Morgrave University hires the adventurers to retrieve the artifact back from culprits they later learn are members of the Order of the Emerald Claw. The Emerald Claw is hoping this artifact will be of value to Lady Vol's quest to restore her Mark of Death. The Emerald Claw, however, is not the only interested party. Hot on their heels are also agents of the Twelve, looking to protect their dragonmarked trade monopolies by destroying the relic and goblinoid agents of Darguun who want to reclaim their rightful, cultural relic so that the goblinoids can one day create their own dragonmarked house.</blockquote>
