Eberron: The Binding Stone

So I just finished The Binding Stone, one of the latest Eberron novels to come out lately, and I must say, I am VERY impressed. City of Towers was pretty good, but this one tops it. Easily the best Eberron book and possible my favorite work of game related fiction.

Anyone else read it? Thoughts?

Just about to start that one.

Just finished The Orb of Xoriat and it was much better than the Crimson Talisman. If you want to play a monk in Eberron, this is a good book to read.

Without spoiling anything, I can tell you The Binding Stone has a lot of psionic goodness, as well as a hearty helping of druidic magic. There is a little arcane thrown in of course and all of the main characters are interesting.

I especially liked Geth, the shifter scout. Best shifter character in a book so far. And for once, there is an Eberron book that doesn't lean all over the warforged to make it interesting.

So I see in just the first chapters.

The Gnome sorcerer in The Orb of Xoriat is also very good. I love his explaination of why Sorcery is superior to all other types of magic. "Bah, Clerics don't even cast their own spells, they have to have their gods do it for them."
