It's a bit like you've got the loose frame of the adventure, but you've got to be a tad experienced as a DM to actually make it fit the pace and needs of the PC group, right?

I think there is more than a loose frame there. I do agree that an experienced DM is important. One story in particular has a lot of subplots floating around at the same time. The adventure is satisfying if the players don't explore them all, but the DM needs to be aware of them all in case the players decide to delve into them.

It's a pretty cool adventure, at least from my read-through. I haven't had a chance to run it yet, but I'm really looking forward to it!
