Ebon Eyes

Hello in the SC is a Spell Ebon Eyes that lets you see normally in natural and magical Darkness.
The Spell is level one.
Darkvisiion that lets you see in normal Darkness is Level 2.
Why would i need that spell when i can take Ebon Eyes one Slot lower.
Do i miss something?

I know little about these spells, but you may want to compare all the mechanics of them: duration, target, distance, etc. That may be where the difference lies. Given what you say, though, it does seem backwards.

The spell Ebnon Eyes is really bad worded.

The intent of the spell is to let you see in normal and magical darkness as if it wasn't totally dark, but only shadowy illuminated. So, total concealment (due to pitch-blackness) doesn't apply for the affected target, but only concealment.

Darkvision lets you see black and white even in total darkness.

Besides, the spell Ebon Eyes has a duration of 10 min/level, and Darkvision lasts for 1 hour/level.

Ebon Eyes doesn't let you see in darkness; it lets you see through concealment. Basically, it negates the effect of the Darkness spell.
