Ecology of The Genasai

Out of curiosity, has anyone seen a phonetic pronunciation of Genasi? I've heard it a few ways and was curious as to the original intent. Thanks.

Around here, we say, "Jen" as in the first part of the name Jennifer, "ah" as in the exclamation when you understand something, and "see" as in what you do with your eyes.

However, I believe that the one true way to say it is the way that Didier Monin pronounces it...every time I hear him talking about the genasi in his French accent over the top of our cube wall it makes me smile. He pronounces it as though the word were French, so it sounds like "je na sí."

Wow, and this whole time I've been misreading the race as genSAI. /face palm
TBH, I like that pronunciation better, hard g in gen, then sai like the weapon. Has an oriental flavor to it.
