Edition-Crossing Adventures

I honestly don't see how it be impossible to not run any adventure from any edition in another. Yeah the math be different, but that is the math not the plot.

If you're musing about 4Ed, its not so much the math so much as tweeking other factors, like the races or classes of certain NPCs.

Yeah but those are NPCs they don't have to follow already established racial ideas. You can give them whatever fits. So I dunno... A Elan for instance could very well exist in 4e as a NPC without having to do anything different then you normally would when crafting a custom NPC in 4e.

Depending upon the adventure in question, race may not be interchangeable. Personally, I rarely see race as immaterial to any PC or NPC.

Regardless of that, the primary reason I buy an adventure is to save myself the work of figuring stuff out, altering this, tweeking that. The more work I have to do to run a commercial adventure, the less I'm interested in running that adventure.
