[Edition Neutral] Points of Light (the product) - how is it?

For the humans (particularly on Sakar) of the Misty Isles, the Lurcana of Amacui and the Akhaioi of the Golden Shore their world very much that of Points of Light. Will the PC be the heroes that finally turns things around or will they retreat back across the sea?

Hmm, this makes me think that for a true 4e feel the PCs should not be the colonial explorers, but be inhabitants of the decayed empires, battling the strange invaders from across the sea!

BTW one thing I'd like to see in future PoLs is brief character sketches of major NPCs, roughly a short paragraph of text with physical description, personality, and plans/motivations. This would make it a lot easier to bring the Points of Light to life. 4-6 detailed NPCs per PoL ought to do it.
