Anyone got a cool name for the column, should I decide to do it?

Slautations,

I have enjoyed the few times I have chatter with you- I say you do a column.. on anything you please.

As for a column name: Mo'pinions or just Mopinions

I'd urge you, however, to avoid "ranting." I know that's the fashion of the Internet nowadays but it often comes off looking stupid. Calm, reasonable, funny, uplifting, offering solutions as well as finding problems. But that's just me. :D

*Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.*

Well Morrus, this is a excellent opportunity to step out from behind the curtain. I believe writing an editorial will give you a chance to make this site more personally satisfying.

Some points to consider.

Once a week is fine. This should be enjoyable for you so beware of burnout. Don't make this a chore. You should be able to manage a weekly or maybe a bi-weekly editorial. What ever you choose, start slow.

(Stick to gaming topics most of the time, even if the connection is vague. As gamers more of us will be able to relate to your effort.) Alot of this, for us, will be a chance to get to know you as a person. So if you want to write something OT, go ahead. What makes you tick Morrus. BTW I also think you need a bio page.

Start assembling a collection of ideas for future editorials. That will lessen the chance of running into writer's block.

Now for the title, I suggest: "Behind the Curtain" with a nod to the Wizard of Oz or in this case the Wizard of EN World.:D

Remember the saying, "No one likes a complainer."

The occasional guest editorial might be a cool way to take breaks if you don't want to write a column every week. Do it, and I also vote for More Russ.:)

Well, actually, tea has come up a lot in the chat room lately.

In fact, there is even a self-confessed tea addict that frequents the area.

And what's wrong with sharing tea-related anecdotes? Recipes for elven teas (don't drink dwarven), herbal teas with game effects, Boston tea party style commando raids, etc.

I say write when you want and write what you want. An occaisonal rant if something raises your ire is okay, because I've seen that you treat the community with respect and I trust you to continue doing so even when ranting.

I'll definitely check it out. And mark me down as another vote for More Russ.

Babble about whatever you want, Morrus, as long as it isn't something that the rest of us can't talk about on your messageboards (religion & politics, for instance).:p
