Sorry for screaming like a girl, but I'm SO FRICKIN' PUMPED for Dark*Matter Polyhedron, to be released February 10. Wheeee!

Has Piazo given any hints about what's in it, other than stuff from the Alternity Dark*Matter setting? I mean, anything new?

It's pretty darn cool, but oh so not as cool as the original Alternity version. But, then again, what is?

I think WotC is really missing out by not just releasing this as a full-blown d20M campaign setting. Still, a mini-game in Poly is bettern' nuthin'.

Could it be a sign of things to come? Remember that Shadow Chasers was a mini game, then a campaign setting...perhaps Dark*Matter will be part of d20 Future?

Well, Shadow Chasers didn't get its own book, though. We can hope!

Big time.

Yeah, but what is? I know gamers that still like MERP over Decipher's LOTR. I know gamers that still like FASA's Star Trek over Decipher's Star Trek. Let's face it. Alternity will not be seen again, unless some gamer is rich enough to buy that from Wizards.

Perhaps. But they're already moving on to d20 Future. I don't think you can promote that with D*M.

Well, not with a D*M that's been transformed into a variant UA campaign, no. ;)

I'm just stating my preference, having read both. And seeing that you can get the original D*M in PDF format for $5, I see nothing wrong with reccomending people take a look at it. I mean, I'm not sure we'd even have seen a D*M mini-game if fans hadn't been so vocal about it being 'ported to d20M. (But that's just a guess.) Who knows what could happen?
