Egarith Monsters

Meat Hook: on the Kobold Butcher needs a bit of mechanical work. Immediate Interrupts happen before a shift, so it doesn't actually make sense to pull the target towards the butcher since it is actually still adjacent. Maybe it should just stop the movement, similar to a fighter's Combat Challenge.

Great point there; I think originally I had it as a reaction, which didn't make much sense to begin with, so I made some changes and it just didn't transpose the way I intended, so I'll reup the edited one soon...

Its a bit odd for a non-elite to have an AP. Not really an issue, but I always vote for simplicity in standard monsters.

And this was entirely my mistake... see, I had read (or assumed, really...) that all monsters had action points, until I realized this is not the case... and that is an property usually given to elites and solo's (2)... so thanks for the great catch... *goes back to the AT to change that darn kobold... ;)

Well you seem to know what your group likes, and that is great, but that dryad unnerves me a little.

1. It looks like a controller to me, not a skirmisher.

2. An auto weaken aura is pretty much unheard of at heroic tier. At the very least I would consider building in an attack vs. Fortitude for any PC that starts its turn inside the aura, instead of the auto hit.

3. Treestride is great.

4. I am not sure why Enervating Burst is an attack vs. AC, it seems more like a Will attack to me.

Specifically for your group there might not be anything wrong at all with the creature, depending on how many you intended to run in an encounter. If there are only one or two of them mixed in with other creatures they should work well. If there are loads of them then the encounter might get a bit bogged down, especially as multiple enervating bursts might stack?

Thanks for your response.

1. Great point... I had never really considered that, and now that you mention it, tis true, tis true... he does seem like a controller.

2. I could modify the aura to be an attacking aura? Is that even present anywhere; I'm sure there might be something similar somewhere and I'm missing it. I do want my PCs to be weakened,so they have to think outside of the box, and the auto hit seems to be perfect against my PC's. However, I do want to generalize him a bit more so that he may be used within any campaign, so what would you suggest for a modified aura...?

3. Thanks!! But I must not take the credit; all dryads have this form of movement, so it only seemed fitting! :)

4. This is another great catch. I did intend it to be against Will; I simply missed it, whoops...

With that in mind, I'll reupload both the Withering Dryad with a few of the changes suggested above, as well as the Kobold Butcher for your edification and consideration!!
