Egyptian Adventuers use?

So has anyone been using the Egyptian Adventuers by Green Ronin? It's a nice set up and I'll be posting my review of it when it comes out.

I haven't played with it too much as I'm running a Black Company campaign but do enjoy some of the minor tweaks to the core classes.

Now in terms of armor though, in Nyambe, they had a feat that gave you an armor bonus as you went up in levels. In this setting, there is no heavy armor. Has anyone run into any problems with higher level encounters or does magic make that pain go away? Or is there a rule somewhere I missed?

I can easily see this become the defacto setting when someone talks about Egyptian style advnetuers much as Rogukan is now OA and Nyambe is African in style.

I dunno, maybe it was just me, but I was pretty underwhelmed with the product. I didn't need to see rules for elves, dwarves, halflings, clerics, druids, wizards, fighters, rangers, etc. rehashed.

I really enjoyed the product and have been using it as a part of my game. It has not come to the forefront yet though, but I think it is solid. I will run a game set there.

I had thought to work up an adventure for it, but it just didn't hold my interest. I think my biggest issue was that I know a lot about ancient Egyptian history and mythology, and I just couldn't let that knowledge go in favor of the game's established setting. Very little of it would fit into my ideal AE game.

So, it's sitting on the shelf at the moment, and will reside there until I need to refer to it when I get back to working on my own Ancient Egypt RPG.

I picked it up and am currently reading through it. I find it very cool. I personally like how they integrated the core races into it...sort of like what was done with Al-Qadim in a way..but even moreso.

I may have my Planescape group visit.....they are visiting Pelion shortly, which has many portals to the Egyptian lands...

It's in the queue. I'm smack dab in the middle of Pulp Action Theatre, but soon my Freeport group will be taking a long voyage.

I'm using the defense bonus option from Unearthed Arcana for that Swasbuckler-y feel, so I'll just carry that through.

Are there any adventures with it? From the little I've read, it looked more like a campaign setting than a module. I'd be more interested if it had a big, fleshed-out adventure.

So what did you think of... the new Relics & Rituals books, Dark Legacies and Nyambe? They follow a pretty similiar patten in terms of bringing over standards to a new setting.

As far as the book goes, no, there is no big adventure. First book is core stuff, races, classes, equipment, magic, and feats. Second book is a gazateer, third book is PrCs, adventure hooks, plots, magic items and monsters.
