Folks, for those who don't him--since he's not a usual poster around here--allow me to introduce C.A. Suleiman, most recent developer for Mummy: The Resurrection, author of numerous White Wolf and Sword & Sorcery titles, and the brains and drive behind Hamunaptra.
Makes my comment seem rather stupid. :\

Do we get to poke him sticks?

Because if not, I'm going to be severely disapointed.

Nah. I've poked him with a stick. It just makes him irritable (and makes him make funny noises).

If it makes up for it, though, I'll be happy to provide a list of people you can poke with sticks. Come see me at GenCon. ;)

I'd love to get this ... but at $50? I'll have to pass for a while ... can't justify spending that much on any book ... heck, I have a hard enough time justifying $40 ..

Remember the old days ... when box sets were $25 ... gosh I miss those days ...

According to the Hamunaptra page page at the Green Ronin web site, the product retails for $39.95. I'm not sure where you're getting $50 from.

(Although, that said, I wouldn't be surprised to see $50 as a much more common price within the next few years, given inflation and whatnot. For now, however, it's not happening much.)

Actually, $50 for a box set would be standard (or even a bit cheap) these days. As it stands, $39.95 is a very fair price for the set, IMHO.

If it is comparable in quality to Testament, then it may well be a bargain. (Looking forward to that Hittite web enhancement for Testament.)

Indeed. In fact, while it wasn't designed specifically with this in mind, and they come from different publishers, I see no reason you couldn't use both Hamunaptra and Nyambe in the same campaign setting, to represent two parts of the same world.

Nyambe is one of my favorite non-Western-culture settings in the 3E era. If people like Hamunaptra even nearly as much, I'll be well pleased. :)

Mouseferatu: Actually, using Humanaptara and Nyambe as resources for the same campaign setting makes a lot of sense. Egypt played a major rule in the development of East Africa, and there was a dynasty of Nubian pharoahs.
