Over the last week I did a lot of reading though character descriptions in the ISRP chat rooms. In fact, I read just over 100 descriptions, this is what I found: Male Characters: 52% Female Character: 46% Neuter Characters: 2% 46% of female characters go into great detail about how beautiful they are. 43% of those beautiful characters also go on to describe their cleavage. (Overall, 20% of female character descriptions describe the character's cleavage.) Note: Stating that a character had a "curvy body" did not count as describing cleavage. Only talking abut the character's "curves" did. 8% of male characters go into great detail about how beautiful/handsome they are. 8% of male characters are built like the HULK. 1 male character made a remark about his impressive "unit." (Overall, 1% of male character descriptions describe the character's "unit.") Note: Races that are naturally strong such as Minotaurs did not get included in the "Hulk" category. . . Athletic characters also did not get included. Only characters with ridiculously huge muscles were included. 7% of descriptions use the word "shadowy" to describe the character. 52% of descriptions have unrelated material in them. Note: Unrelated material includes: character history, character goals, directly stating D&D character classes, describing secret spells/curses cast on a character, identifying the creator of an item, stating that an item has sentimental value, stating an item's name, describing specific information about an item's special power, anything else that you wouldn't know just by simply looking at a character. I allowed characters to state if they were family to another character due to the fact that both characters might look similar enough for people to recognize they are from the same family. 16% of descriptions are larger than the chat window. (on a screen resolution of 1024 x 768) 75% of those large descriptions contain unrelated material.
