Eldritch blast with sneak attack.

Eldritch blast is an Implement.

Not possible to use for sneak attack. no Weapon keyword, even with a pact blade.

You would get the enchantment bonus of the weapon tho on the eldritch blast, nothing more.

The weapon is not doing the attack. Your bolt of eldritch energy, channeled through the weapon is doing the attack.

You are not using a weapon from the light blade group.
You are using an implement that is also a dagger.
Sometimes there isn't a distinction, but sneak attack requires weapon use.

I think the clincher is that IIRC all weapons that can be used as implements specifically state that you cannot use the Proficiency bonus from the weapon (which applies to all weapon attacks) when using it as an implement.

While I certainly agree that the wording could be more precise, even RAW seems to deny this.

That proficiency bonuses aren't applicable when weapons are used as implements is a general rule. PHB p275
Some class abilities aren't likewise limited ... just as an example, turn this thread's multiclass on its head. A Rogue MC into Warlock wields a pact blade.
Rogue weapon talent (despite the name of the class ability), does not specify what use you are putting the dagger to.
So you could conceivably get +1 to hit with eldritch blast this way, by RAW .. but it is certainly not RAI.

I first thought that using a Warlock power with a pact blade would work for sneak attack because you are essentially using a light blade implement. However after reading sneak attack again I see that it requires a weapon that is a light blade.

So RAW it does not work... however as a DM I could be persuaded house rule allow it...

Simple house rule: make a feat that states eldritch blast counts as a crossbow for purposes of sneak attack. If the character really wants it, they can blow a feat on it. Seperate feats could be made for other powers, but I'd limit it to powers which count as a basic ranged/melee attack.

The RAW is very clear..

The RAW clearly states that the eldritch blast may only serve as an ranged melee basic attack when an POWER allows you to make such an attack.

Sneak attack is not an power, but an class feature..
