Eldritch Chain and Sneak Attack

Except Manyshot is only a single attack roll. Not sure about whether Skip is right about the volleys thing, but that is a terrible example.

One attack roll, one sneak attack.

While the word choice is poor, as has been pointed out, and the reliability of the sage's rulings is often suspect, the intent is clear that the sneak attack damage is only applied on the first hit.

The energy orb example is ambiguous, because the energy orbs can be used to target multiple creatures as well as a single creature. However, the inclusion of the Split Ray feat in the example shows that this ruling applies to attacks with multiple targets.
