Electric Monsters

I need a good 12 hit die electricity based monster, that isn't a blue dragon. Is it just me or are there hardly any monsters that are associated with electricity except blue dragons and tempests?

You could advance a behir.

I don't know why you want a specific # of HD instead of a specific CR.

I guess a storm giant wouldn't work for you :) But you could minify it.

You could also go half-blue-dragon or will-o'-wisp.

Or make your own.

I had an idea for a monster that 'electro-rends'; that is, it has two tentacle attacks, and if they both hit, it causes electrical damage.
 

That's a good idea, but i'm kinda strapped for time. I'm modifying the disciple of mephistopholes in the Book of Vile Darkness, to make a non evil electricity desciple, and i need to replace the summon hammatula ability with something else.
 


I really don't have the time to advance stuff, and multiple creatures don't really appeal to me. THe ideal thing would be a lightning elemental, but I can't seem to find anything like it. If someone wanted to whip one up that'd be hella cool, but otherwise thanks anyway.
 

The Zeugalak from Lords of Madness has 16hd, but it shouldnt be hard to tune it down to 12hd. It's a straight fighting machine with some nice electricity based supernatural abilities.

Monster Manual III has a Storm Elemental, but you'd need to tweak it, since it jumps straight from 8HD at Large size to 16 at Huge.
