[ELH] Ranger Favored Enemies

First Post
I just got the ELH and I have a question. On page 14, the Favored Enemy section says one new favored enemy every three levels after 20th, but Table 1-10: The Epic Ranger, shows a new favored enemy every 5th level, just like levels 1 through 20. Anyone know which is correct? My guess is the Table is correct, every 5 levels just like the non-epic progression.

Well, according to the rules for creating epic classes, the rate should continue as it did in non epic levels. I haven't seen anything official from Wizards, but I'd bet Wicht's posts that it's one every five levels.

:D

Yeah, I was just reading that section. I skipped over it to check out the classes, especially the ranger. That leads me to believe that the table is correct and the text is an error (probably an earlier draft or something). Thanks Crothian. :)

Glad I could be of help. You should read the section Other Options section under the Epic Ranger. They suggest Epic Spellcasting. Only problem is you'd need to Improved Spell Capacity 5 times to get up to casting 9th level spells, and you'd need to be 45th level to get the 24 ranks of spellcraft becasue it's a cross class skill for Rangers.

Just grab a single level of a class that has Spellcraft in its Class Skill list. While it's still considered a Cross-Class Skill, the max ranks cap is Character level+3.

Unless the ELH does things differently.

You can do that. You can also take one of the many feats that will turn a cross class skill into a class skill. I just found it funny, that Epic Spellcasting feat is suggested for the Ranger.
