Hey, im new to these boards and i go by HavenDan. Here is the character bio of one of my characters, a half-orc barbarian, and the overall story for my campaign. This is my first campaign im running so any tips or advice would help very much
Krag Grimtoof Bio-
Krag is a half- orc who once lived among an orcish tribe with other half-orcs. The orcs saw the half- orcs as inferior to them and forced them to undertake in many of the physical labor tasks required to sustain the warriors of the Grimtoof tribe. Krag, the unusually charismatic individual that he is, especially given his birth, was often looked to for help and support by his fellow half-orc brethren.
During his time as a “servant” of the orcish tribe, Krag organized a revolt against the orcs in an attempt to usurp control and head the orcish tribe as its chieftain. It took six years for Krag to plan the revolt and it was carried out on his eighteenth birthday. Krag and the resistance of twenty other half-orcs fought valiantly, slaughtering over one hundred of their former masters. However, they proved to be outnumbered greatly and all were subsequently slaughtered including Krag’s childhood friend Gorag and twin brother Korg.
Instead of butchering the resistance leader Krag along with all the other members of the coup, Krag was forced into exile bearing the mark of shame. The mark of shame is practically a death sentence to any orc he encounters. The tattoo is a symbol of a battleaxe with two slashes burned into the shamed one’s right forearm. This tattoo is meant to symbolize Krag’s attempt and failure at an overthrow to all orcs and humans throughout the continent.
After Krag’s exile, he wandered the continent for approximately four years, searching for work and friendship among both of the races from which he was conceived. However, due to his mark of shame, Krag was never accepted by either humans or orcs and lived a life of eternal wandering. Sometime during these four years, Krag became an alcoholic, using spirits to drown the sorrows of his past and present.
Now for Elithia backstory
Elithia is a continent that is in perpetual chaos. Recently, a mysterious necromancer cult named The Breaking Dusk has been unleashing foul atrocities upon the people of Elithia. Reanimated corpses and living skeletal constructs have been plaguing the towns and villages, plundering treasure for their masters.
Though this occurrence is happening often and in many locations, the theocratic government, run by the human David Jerell, refuses to acknowledge the resurgence of this ancient necromantic cult due to their fear of losing their influence over the populous, who are overall clueless of the heinous acts being committed by The Breaking Dusk
The pantheons of the various gods are completely aware of the atrocities being committed by The Breaking Dusk and have a crusading army ready for dispatch to aid the peoples of Elithia. However, they are completely subservient to the theocratic governor and cannot act without his orders. In direct defiance of the government’s orders, the pantheon of dwarven gods have dispatched a defender of the faith to report on and quell insurgences of the undying. The pantheon has also hired two other warriors at great expense. A mysterious wood elf bounty hunter who has only missed his mark once, and his former mark, a half-orc whom is outcasted by both humans and orcs due to his mark of shame. The three make an unlikely trio as they struggle to triumph against the undead hordes of The Breaking Dusk and saving countless lives from their onslaught. Meanwhile, the pantheons are engaging in intense diplomatic negotiations to dispatch their crusading army. However, the theocratic government and its governor David Jerell have not budged on their position. This leaves the three defenders on their own against The Breaking Dawn and their minions. Our story begins as the three allies enter the desolate town of Halitol, which is seemingly void of all living creatures...
