Elocater vs tracking

Upcoming 5th level I have another player looking at something new, its an prestige class called Elocater. He will be 4th Psi Warrior / 1 Elocater. He has mentioned to me that this combo is impossible to track and when he goes Rogue he is going to avoid many traps because he wont be walking on the ground (scorn earth)?

Anyone have experience with this class, what is your rules or raw

Creatures with the Scent ability will still be able to track him, but I would give them a penalty unless he touches surfaces. The Scent ability can still smell him out at normal ranges.

This will also make him fairly invisible to Tremorsense.


And yes, he can avoid pressure plates and such. That does not mean that a fellow PC will not trigger the trap and he might still be close enough for it to get him.

He cannot avoid magical traps as easily this way since many of them trigger by reading or by being within proximity.

You should double check his prerequisites. It is not possible for a level 4 Psychic Warrior to qualify for Elocator.

Requirements
To qualify to become an elocater, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.

Base Attack Bonus
+3.

Skills
Concentration 8 ranks.

Feats
Mobility, Spring Attack.

Psionics
Able to manifest 1st-level powers.

2. Scorn earth will only help with one trap trigger - location, and even that is debatable.

Elocator is a fine PrC, lots of fun mobility stuff, dim door 1/day, fun flank, teleport/plane shift...

My question would be how did the character get 8 ranks in concentration at 4th level? (Spring attack requires a +4BAB too, 4th level PsiWar is +3, so they are way out.)

end of question, he cant do it, can he. Well then again we are a little relaxed on rules such as a pc's life path may grant him +2 to a certian skill etc. But I failed to look up spring attack prereqs, thanks for the info.

+2 Modifier maybe, not ranks.
