I can't really take credit for the idea of paraelemental genies. That was Krishnath's baby. I just gave 'em some meat. I'm glad you like the emotionals, though, and if anyone actually makes use of anything I've put up here, I'd love to hear about it.

The problem I'm running into is that a lot of emotions, like love, despair, and apathy would more than likely just end up like the fear and bliss emotionals. Hate emotionals, though, I might be able to do. Thanks for all the suggestions.

The problem I'm running into is that a lot of emotions, like love, despair, and apathy would more than likely just end up like the fear and bliss emotionals. Hate emotionals, though, I might be able to do. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Actually to me despair and apathy seem somewhat antithetical to fear. Fear is of something bad before it happens, where as despair and apathy are more reactions to something bad after it happens. Despair is suffering knowing that things will never get better, akin to hopelessness. Maybe it could be lumped with grief and mourning into a Suffering Elemental. An then apathy seems to be a twisted form acceptance of what has happened because you don't really care any more. Apathy almost seems like the death of all emotions. Perhaps it could be made into a Nothingness Emotional. And then Hate could be brought together with Anger as a Rage Elemental. Or sometimes Hate is a natural result of Fear, because people hate what they fear, right? And what about other hard to classify concepts/emotions like Sense of Duty or Greed or Lust?

The emotionals idea is pretty cool. About an opposing elemental group like Rationals
