[EN Publishing] Announcing War of the Burning Sky 4E!

...it's some kind of bizarre review desert when it comes to WotBS.

It's probably because they're all too busy playing the adventures...

But on that note, I just happen to be in the market for a new campaign! The Dungeon Mag Scales of War series doesn't seem interesting to me at all, and the non-path WotC modules (H1, etc.) pretty much suck. It had to be 4e for many reasons, and who knows when Necromancer Games will come out with theirs.

"Burning Sky's" political upheavals and arcane inquisition have caught my attention. I don't know why it took so long for me to notice that, but it's right up my alley! (I can't talk really talk about the details... hehe.)

So how can I get this ASAP?! At-least the first adventure.

My players will all be new to D&D too. They're definitely going to be more interested in role-playing and non-combat encounters. But that doesn't mean they're not going to be excited about a fight or two.

Russ,

Have you considered doing some extra stuff for the 4E version? I'm not sure what the originals have, but maybe add some incentive by having the encounter layout like the Wizards modules (two page spread), and include other goodies like printable battlemats, monster counters, and anything else you can think of.

Just an idea. While I'm far from done with my first 4E campaign, I'd love for this to be my second one, and added bonuses are always great! :D

Also, perhaps have it go from levels 1-30 instead (as 4E levels aren't equivalent to 3E levels).

We always add as much extra stuff as we can think of. Check the web page for the stuff we gave away for 3E for example (which included your example of pintable battlemaps, along with free player and GM guides, handouts, maps, etc.)

Well, yes. Obviously! That was thought #1, about a day after 4E was announced in 2007! :D

Trust us, we have the obvious bases covered. :)

Honestly, I've looked at that page several times, and not once did I seem to notice the stuff on the left side! Holy cats! That's awesome!

Maybe you could coerce er.. talk Klaus into making counters, too.

Sorry, but I didn't know how cool this was until I started reading more and more into it, and now that it's coming to 4E, I just started making suggestions like crazy. The counters and two page encounter spreads would still be neat to have...

Thanks
Chris

Morrus is the best!

Now that my name is out, I want to give Morrus his props. He is really the greatest and I feel honored to work with/for him on the 4e conversion. There are some surprises in store and I can only say right now that the saga is rich and complex with a 4e-type spin, but I am an old gamer who thinks in 1e as easily as 3 and 4e. I hope such experience translates well to the new conversions and gives you the greatest sessions you've experienced yet!

Regards,
Steve
