EN World and Mongoose Join Forces!

MongooseMatt

First Post
Hi guys,

The world famous d20 web site, EN World, and Mongoose Publishing have joined forces to produce a new quarterly gaming magazine - the EN World Gamer!

Due to be released in September (though cut price subscriptions are available now through Mongoose's web site!), every issue will be packed with new ideas, rules and concepts for the very best in d20 gaming.

Already got my issue reserved!

Kewl, but we need more info.

Like...
How many pages per issue?
Will there be a mini-game in each issue since there will only be 4 issues per year?
Price tag?
Submission guideline?
Will you be using themes per issues (all-fantasy, all-spy, all-futuristic, etc.)?
Product review?
Q&A column?

Check the EN World Gamer page here at EN World for a lot of that info.

1) 64 pages.
2) Hopefully! We're trying to squeeze one into Issue 1. The cancellation of Poly came quite late in the schedule - certainly in time for Issue 2, hopefully in time for Issue 1.
3) $4.95.
4) See web page.
5) Nope.
6) I don't understand the question. I give it a score of 5/5, and think it's excellent.
7) Nope. I have an enormous web site for that sort of thing. No point replicating what you can get here for free.

I am just glad to see it coming back. The Magazine was just hitting its stride for me when it went on hiatus. I hope it hits the ground running just as well or better than it was before.

Can we subscribe without having a Mongoose password? It isn't that I don't want one, but I forgot my old one and the new one I was sent didn't work and I haven't contacted the webmaster for Mongoose. Since I rarely post at Mongoose it hasn't been a big deal to me. If it will keep me from subscribing that story will change.

I was going to order a subscription, but then noticed the shipping (that isn't usually associated with subscriptions)... Is that an error?

Thanks
Chris

This looks quite interesting. I'm assuming that it's available for subscription in the UK (at the $ price set)?

Also, you might want to fix the first Mongoose link, as there is a comma in it instead of a dot.

And (a minor error, in the paragraph beginning The default payment is) :
Materials will be usually be designated

I mean will you be featuring a d20/SRD-based product review column in said printed magazine?

I know nothing about what's going on with this new magazine. However, I'd think it would be pretty stupid.

1. En World itself holds thousands of reviews, fan and 'staff'.

2. It's still a Mongoose publication. I highly doubt that they will be touting another d20 product's horn.
