En World Gameday and the RPGA

Has anyone that organizes these Gamedays ever considered using them to run Official RPGA playtests and stuff?

From what Troy told me RPGA playtests and other adventures dont need to be run at conventions they can be run in the privacy of your own home too. Why not a gameday?

I ran a Living Greyhawk module for the first Chicago Gameday in one of the two slots. It's all good, if you wind up attracting a lot of LG players anyway. If it looks like you are going to have small numbers, bolstering the head count by attracting some non-EN Worlders with LG (or other) games is possible...but what's the real goal?

Are you really interested in running a particular size of gameday or interested in running an EN World Gameday?

IMO, best to just collect as many EN Worlders as you can, see what they want to play, and organize that first. Mentioning that you are willing to run an RPGA event as part of it up front will sort out if there is enough interest to do so.

I'm not saying I WANT to, I'm just asking if its been done before.

I figure that Enworlders would wanna be involved semi-officially with stuff that gets published eventually that way. Ones that arent writers or editors already.

However, if for the NYC Gameday there is huge intrest I'd run Green Regent again, or a D20 Modern game.

In fact I WOULD be intrested in running a Green Regent for the EN World Gameday heh.

Oh, I see. Not yet published. My bad.

I suppose it would be up to the RPGA. If there are NDAs involved they might not want them run at a Gameday where anyone might be listening in. *shrug*

The Green Regent is a new FR RPGA game that i belived debuet at Gencon.

I ran Green Regent 1 and 2, both adventures are level 1 and took place in diffrent parts of the lower High Forest area.

If you go to the RPGA site you can read about the Green Regent Backstory.

Both adventures were fun to run. I' was a bit dissapointed that I screwed up my schedule and ended up not running the Gencon Green Regent Exlusive.

The one weird thing about the Green Regent is that although it set in FR its far more restricted and controled then the base setting.

For example, point buy was lesser then whats in the FR book. Instead of 32 Regent uses 25.

There are other quirks but overall it was very fun.

If my luggage wasnt lost I'd still have the adventures. I could prolly still download them from the RPGA site.

I know I'm showing my iognorance, but what's Green Regent?

It's the new RPGA campaign for this year. It is run a little differently than the others, but it is basically a campaign set in FR. It was a lot of fun to run at GenCon.
