EN World - Morrus' D&D/d20 News & Reviews Site - Long Title!

I've noticed that the site's page titles have grown from "EN World - D&D/d20 News & Reviews -..." to "EN World - Morrus' D&D/d20 News & Reviews Site -...", and that makes them very, very hard to read in many situations. If you hover the cursor over a minimized IE session, you can't always read the thread name. If you mail a thread (as an HTML page), the title gets clipped. Etc.

Maybe we could reduce it to "EN World - Morrus' d20 News -..."?

If you mail a thread (as an HTML page), the title gets clipped.
I'd just like to chip in that you should never, EVER, send HTML through mail. It's bad, evil, horrible and crappy. HTML is for the web, and not for mail.

This announcement brought to you by the letter L for Luddite.

When the goal is to send the HTML from Point A to Point B, it makes perfect sense to send HTML. If you're sending a generic text message, particularly if you're sending it to many, many people who may or may not have an HTML-enabled e-mail client, it's "bad, evil, horrible, and crappy."

If you want to send HTML, you send a link.
Except that web pages and links aren't permanent. Want some links to some great threads from test.cyberstreet.com? www.enworld.org/messageboards? www.enboards.org? http://dynamic3.gamespy.com?

I forgot one of the key examples of the problem: my browser's history list. Every entry says " EN World - Morrus' D&D/d20 News & Rev". Yeah, that's useful.

Great post.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change this Morrus.

Now the back arrow in Internet Explorer has had its functionality decreased significantly.

I can no longer see what thread/place I'm going Back to. :(

I'll look at the page templates when I get a chance and see if I can change the page titles while leaving the actual site title intact on the page. Shouldn't be too hard.
