EN World Online RPG Shop

I was just wondering if anyone has ever used the EN World Online RPG Shop before and what they thought of it. I am thinking of ordering some RPG books but I just wanted to find out evereyone else's experiences before I gave them my hard earned cash.

I live in Australia so the shipping costs are going to be a little higher than the US rates. The site lists the shipping costs as shipping costs + $3US handling fee. They take a $30US deposit off of your credit card and then refund you the difference. I wanted to find out roughly how much shipping would cost before I ordered so I sent Customer Service an e-mail on Friday listing my order and asking roughly how much it cost to ship. When I didn't receive a reply after a day I sent an e-mail to the product enquiry e-mail address. So far, 4 days after I sent the first e-mail, I haven't received a reply from anyone. This doesn't give me any faith to give them my money when I can't get an e-mail reply.

Hopefully there has been a problem with their e-mail or something and I will get a reply soon but I thought by posting on the boards someone may be able to shed some light on the situation. With any luck the person that runs the site may see this thread and reply.

I wait in hope of a reply.

I'm in the States, but I've used the store several times, and not only have I not had a problem ever, I've always been amazed at how fast their service is.

I'll second that. Although I admit I've never had a reason to e-mail them, so don't know about things on that end.

But just last week I got an order from them. Took it less than a week to arrive from when I ordered it.

I'm glad to hear that neither of you have had any problems. I expected as much considering it bears the EN World name. The only thing I really want to know is the shipping cost. I don't want to put in an order and then find out that shipping costs were as much as my order.

Has anyone from Australia or even Oceania/South East Asia ordered anything from there by any chance? If so how many items did you order and how much did you pay for shipping?

Still no replies to my e-mails as yet. How long do you think is normal to wait to get a reply? So far it has been 5 days. I personally think that that is too long for a business to leave a customer waiting. At least they could have sent a courtesy e-mail saying "We're very busy at the moment, we'll get back to you in X days."

Has anyone on the boards ever e-mailed the EN World Online RPG Shop? If you did, did you get a reply? Does anyone also happen to know the screen name of the person who runs the store, if they have one at all?

Edited for poor grammar.

I've bought from them a few times. Once they emailed me within an hour to let me know something that they thought was just out of stock was actually out of print, and that they might not be able to find one. In another instance, I'd forgotten to include some information in the order, so I emailed them and got a confirmation of the correction the same day.

I've ordered a lot of gaming material from the En World Online Shop (as one of the more productive ways to support the site) over the past several years, and I've never had a problem with the service.

A few Christmases ago, I had reason to get in touch with their customer service folks, because some of the weirder stuff that I was ordering was not available, and I wanted to make changes to my order -- and they dealt with my stuff very quickly and I was perfectly happy with the whole thing.

So you not getting replies to your emails very much surprises me. I would try emailing again, and might even suggest trying a different email address -- one that is based on something like yahoo or hotmail or something like that. It seems far more likely to me that your email was weeded out by an overzealous spam filter, or your email has fallen into some other internet version of the black hole of calcutta.
