Well, I've ordered mine through my FLGS; so I await with baited breath.

To clarify, it is "bated" breath. And no, I don't really know what "bated" means. I just know that it has something to do with breath. :)

Thanks for the correction. Your comment forced me to do some research, and here is the result.

I heard an ugly rumour that if you advertise in the journal, you get a free copy of each issue your ad is in. Is there any truth to this?

Dunno - Goodman Games handles that side of things. Why, have you advertised?

I sure have. Wouldn't miss not being the premier issue of the Journal! :)

I'll drop Joseph a line and see what the story is on this. Thanks!

It's short for "abated" breath, i.e., as in holding breath in anticipation.

Oh...I kinda thought it was what I got when I put too much garlic in the spagetti...
or when I've eaten brocolli, pizza, and drunk beer all in the same day... for some reason that produces belches that you can actually smell... I mean really SMELL....
:D

Well I am glad it seems that people liked the mag, since it was not printed in the magazine here is our breakdown:
Writing: Curtis Bennett, Art: Scott Purdy, Cartography: Ed Bourelle.
I am saddened that they were not mentioned but credit where credit due.

I got my copy in the mail yesterday, but I haven't had a chance to read through it yet, what with work and all.

Just from a casual flip-through, I'm very impressed. The layout is great, and it just... feels right. I can't wait to start reading.

It also inspired me to write an article or two.

Thanks!
Chris
