Greetings all!
In the summer of 2012, my wife and her team will be taking part in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure, a 3-day, 60-mile walk to help fund research into cures for breast cancer.
We've upped our fund-raising goals, and as part of our activities, Arisia (a prominent Boston science fiction convention) has agreed to allow us to run a charity raffle, with a potential market of the entire convention - thousands of people. For a raffle to succeed, though, we need prizes, and that's where you come in.
Our donors include Phil and Kaja Foglio, Steve Jackson Games, and EN World's own Mousferatu (aka author and game designer Ari Marmell). Don't you want yoru stuff to sit beside such illustrious company, showign that you love the ladies, and hate cancer? Of course you do!
If you publish games, make jewelry, write novels, make music, own a game store, create art, or otherwise have goods or services that'd appeal to con-going geeks, we'd like to hear from you.
Are you a former Ennies Judge, sitting on a ton of game stuff you don't know what to do with? Do you know an author? You a personal friend of a game designer, or have an in-route with a publisher? Know someone who owns a game store, or paints awesome minis? I want to hear from you.
We're looking for gift certificates, genre collectibles, con memberships, CDs, DVDs, signed or rare genre novels, comic books, game books - if you've got it to spare, and it'd appeal to folks at a con, we'd be proud and happy to make your contribution part of our prizes.
Artists of EN World, I have a special thought for you - even if you don't have works you'd like to donate, we need to make posters to plaster all over the con advertising our raffle, and those posters should have nifty, eye-catching sci-fi and fantasy art on them to get people to know we're going on!
Please, folks, the cause is a good one, and with a potential audience in the thousands, we could sell a ton of tickets. You can help! Send me a Private Message, and let's make it a hit!
