What are the stats on a werepool? :)

Greetings!

LOL!;) Well, the visuals are a nice touch, huh?

By the way--EVERYONE--I just edited and added this to the original post, addending this to the Lycanthropy pool;

*NEWLY ADDED*
(The DM should apply some form of standard Lycanthropy, some unusual form of Lycanthropy, (from a monster manual, some other creature/monster book) or something created from the Monstrous Lycanthrope Template, as desired. The possibilities are vast. Monstrous Lycanthrope Template; Advanced Bestiary. Pg. 178. By Matthew Sernett, Green Ronin Publishing.)

As a personal note, this also comes from direct experience in one of my campaigns. A group of Followers of a player character were doing some forward scouting, and found a mysterious pool in a cavern. They were wounded, dirty, and tired from their journey. The wondrous pool felt so cool and refreshing to the group of 6 as they leaped in and went swimming. They were soaking in the shimmering waters, drinking the sweet, refreshing water,--when the waters of the pool shimmered and changed, and various beast heads of wolves, lions, various monsters, all appeared and bit the group of Followers. Each of them was then affected by gaining a Lycanthropy Template--some more or less standard, others were quite bizarre!

Thus, for example, there are now:

(3) Half-Ogre/Were-Wolves

Essentially, three half-ogres turn into savage, 8'-ft. tall, Wolf-humanoids. One half-ogre is male; two are female.

(1) Human/Were-Lion

The male human turns into a fierce, lion-headed humanoid.

(1) Human/Were-Troll/Otyugh

This male human turns into a 9'-ft. tall Troll, with three legs, a somewhat larger, heavier body, (2) Arms, (2) Tentacles, a huge mouth full of strong, razor sharp teeth; and a head that has (4) Eyes.

(1) Human/Were-Tyrannosaurus Rex (Miniature)/Apocolypse Swarm

This female human turns into a *Swarm* of hundreds of Size: Tiny Tyrannosaurus Rex's. Yeah, they all run along together and have a *Hive-Mind* It's pretty wild and funny, too.

Fun stuff.

On a serious note, you might have another table (since you seem to enjoy them) about what triggers the effect of the pool:

Enchanted Pool Trigger Table III
01-60 Drinking directly from the pool
61-70 Drinking for at least 5 minutes from the pool
71-80 Touching the liquid surface directly
81-85 Touching the liquid indirectly. (There is a 30% change that there exists a substance that does not transfer the effect. Suitable substances may include petrified wood, dragon scales, expensive marble, etc.)
86-90 Pouring a small amount of the liquid over the target's head. (A suitable vessel is needed to do this more than 10 feet from the pool.)
91-00 Full immersion.

10’ Pool: Within this crystal-clear pool, the fluids reveal a wealth of platinum coins below. Several colorful koi fish swim lazily throughout the pool.

DM’s Notes: Platinum is insoluble in hydrochloric and nitric acid. The pool contains the former. The koi are acidborn monsters, a template found in Dungeonscape (pg. 111).

Dream Lake: Deep within the depths of the sea, a Cold Seep awaits. Those who brave the briny waters find themselves transported physically into the Region of Dreams (Manual of the Planes, pg 201, alternately use the information regarding Dreams and Nightmares from Heroes of Horror, pg 52). Their only hope of escape rests in being close to someone dreaming, when they awaken.
