As you press the mechanical egg into place atop the web, you see the wall break down below and a lone figure standing on the platform. The figure beckons you forward and, approaching, you realize he is a pale elf in tattered robes. The elf casts a spell which webs off the exit into the lower area of the city. He looks at you, then, with burning eyes and speaks.
I will feast on your remains.

This elven prince has dedicated himself to the research done here. He challenges any hoping to pass into the lower section of the city and will keep his spell which blocks exit active until slain.
The prince (level 17 undead solo controller) begins combat by attacking the nearest creature, or any which have marked him. Each round, he will push characters 4 squares (close burst 2, minor action) and move to attack or, if recharged, cast flame sphere and teleport away as a free action until the sphere leaves. read one of the following each time.

Close Burst 1, targets enemies, attack vs. Reflex
The sphere moves it's burst area up to 6 squares toward one character before dissipating and attacks each creature within its space during this time.
After the sphere dissipates, the prince returns adjacent to a character and attempts to pin them so he can drain their hit points and regain his own.
