Encylopedia of Angels... should I?

I would recommend against it as well... at least not before you take a very, very close look at it.

Considering that stats, CRs, and overall conceptualization (not to mention the "illustrations" -- most of which looked like they were photocopied from dePlancy's Dictionnaire Infernal) were poorly or utterly imbalanced and/or plain wrong in the first two Encyclopedias of Demons and Devils, I would want to peruse this new book very, very thoroughly.

Green Ronin's The Avatar's Handbook does a very good job with Celestials... Probably the best out there right now.

I think someone mentioned G. Davidson's Encyclopedia. It's a good resource and offers not only great information on the various angelic beings from Judeo-Christian-Islamic myths, it also has information on the Fallen Angels.

There are other good angelic sources out there. I'll post them later (although, if you own Green Ronin's Legions of Hell, the list of some of the books I'd recommend are in the final appendix).

Though Davidson's book is frustrating in its own way....

(I used it as a source for Malhavoc Press' Anger of Angels.)

Agreed.

And what's the eta on Anger of Angels?

Should I buy a book from FFE?

I think that question just about answers itself, but here it is translated into a language we can all understand:

Should I light a 20 dollar bill on fire?

You can learn more about "Anger of Angels" by following this LINK. Hope this helps.

Edit: To answer your question its expected release dates are September (PDF) and December (print)

Anger of Angels is already on my list of books to buy. Thanks everyone for all of the wonderful suggestions... It helps out a lot! Hopefully more Angel or Faerie books will come out in the near future, too...

I will, however, pick up the FFE book if I find it cheap on ebay, and even then I'm going to try to see if I can find it to peruse..

Thanks again!!
Chris

I think criticisms there are a bit harsh. Looking at the review page for FFE, not all of its products are bad. For example, both Psion and Simon Collins like Orc Fest. And the Encyclopedia of Weaponry got favorable reviews as well.

Well, just being devil's advocate. Wait for a couple reviews if you can't peruse it in a store. There's another solution to get previews of something, but it's not legal, and I doubt people bothers to scan FFE's books anyway...
