Energy Affinity?

Hi all.

Quick question here from a player of mine. Can anybody give me a quick precis of what Energy Affinity (from the Miniatures HB) does? As far as I can determine it's the 3.5 revision of Energy Substitution, but as I don't own the Mini HB I can't reference it myself.

It's the same except that you can't take sonic.

Not quite. The effect is the same and it's also +0 level metamagic, but in addition to not being able to pick sonic, you also have to know spells from every element as a prerequisite!

Thanks for that - means I can now ditch one of my house rules and replace E. Subst with E. Affinity as it does the same thing.

Side note: Energy Substitution is in the 3.5 SRD under the divine material, so it's technically updated to 3.5 as is.
