Energy conversion feat?

Shinanofran

First Post
I heard that there is a feat that allows spellcasters to change the energy type of a spell, but does this work for positive and negative energy?

And if not, would it be fair to have a separate feat that can change positive energy to negative energy and viceversa?

Please post any ideas.

I don't have the book handy, but I'm fairly certain this feat does not allow for changing positive and negative energy.

I'm not sure how well swapping positive and negative energy would work. They're sufficiently different qualifiers from the other energy forms that I think it'd be difficult to work with. Did you have specific examples of spells that you'd like to change to these energy forms?

Energy Conversion

I'm not sure if this would serve as an example, but one thing I've been debating regarding energy conversion is suppose you have a psionic character (a healer) that was capable of healing or taking negative energy from another character and wanted to convert that negative energy into positive or healing energy. How would that be done? My example is that I've created a psychic vampire who is attempting to exist by feeding off of the negative energy of another, and while he is feeding, it is converting that negative energy into positive energy (which the psychic vampire requires/needs in order to exist). Would something like that require two psionic powers to exist or be used in connection with each other? And/or would the use of this type of energy conversion even be possible?
