I have seen this in effect and it is a hell good, now let me ask one thing, do you consider greatclubs to be included in the club aspect of the spell?

Problem is that a Druid would have to either waste a feat on Martial Weapon Proficiency or multi-class which would throw off caster level advancement. Now it'd be nice to do 4d8 damage using a greatclub with this trick, but YMMV.

Well I've seen my share of druids with 1 level of fighter, barbarian or monk now... and till level 12 they have not suffered a lot from this one level thrown off spellcaster advancement. Not at all. Especially Rage is sick.

I am also toward this, else you have a killing machine in your group, I am DMing midnight, there is a giantblooded character, which is large since the begginign of the game, and he can get the spells, since magic is not class based in midnight.

We have not read carefully the writing of the spell until after the combo got used for a session, the character got a greatclub from an ogre and another carachter cast the spell on it, since we have not seen the last line he used it, imagine a character with 18 Str deealing 4d8 points of damage, with a two handed weapon, now he is a barbarian, add rage... and the +1 from the spell... he had 4d8+9 with a hit... a second level character should not be doing that...

Anyway, glad we used it wrongly, now I will have to speak with them again, because we already did, and take the rgeatclubs out of the spell rech and also, apply the last sentence, where one cannot used the spell if he ahs not cast it himself...

back to the simplistic damage... :D
