The 2007 Gen Con EN World RPG Awards season is gearing up, with the launch of a brand new, independent website at www.ennieawards.com. Also, the ENnies are now taking nominations for judges:[bq]Unlike previous years, this year’s judging panel will be elected using the Single Transferable Vote system, a form of proportional representation designed to eliminate wasted votes and strategic voting. Judge elections will utilize the same voting booth developed for last year’s awards using a ranked ballot. This year will also require that judge candidates submit nomination papers that include a short bio/candidate statement and photograph. Denise Robinson, the ENnies business manager states that “In past years, the judges have been largely drawn from the EN World online community. As the Awards have grown in stature, we are casting the net wider for judges from throughout the gaming community. Between this and the new voting system, we anticipate a much more hotly contested judge election and an even more dynamic panel as a result.”[/bq]Nomination forms for judges are now available on the ENnies website and will be available until the close of nominations on February 10th, 2007. Online voting will run February 12th-18th, 2007, with winners announced on February 23rd, 2007. Judges will have five months in which to adjudicate submissions to this year's awards.
