Slightly related question: Do we need some kind of ENWorld badge made up for boothwork? I often forget who I am and this would be a great reminder. :)

You know Crothian, if the booth is inside the Dealer Hall, that makes ENWorld a "dealer". Wouldn't that mean everyone working the booth should be eligible for a dealers' badge so they can help with set-up/tear-down?

Not that I know of. A few of the ENnies staff people will hopefully get dealer badges but that will be it.

On e space left, we need someone to fill it!!

I think someone might be making EN World badges for those people going, but we won't be having any special badges for people working the booth.

I was wondering when someone was going to ask that. Basically something like this:

-be properly groomed, wearing appropriate, decent and clean attire. no gaming company logos- we're impartial.
-show up five minutes early for your shift and be prepared to stay five minutes after so as to facilitate the exchange of information between shifts.
-be fluent in english
-be rested and not drunk or high
-no alcohol in the booth. water and/or 1 pop/volunteer/shift will be provided. do not eat whilst in the booth
-keep the booth tidy.
-be available to answer questions
-be knowledgeable: read the volunteer primer before you get to gen con, familiarize yourself with the ennies history, past big winners, and this years' nominees and this year's location of the awards.
-be approachable, and try to make contact with those walking by. a smile, eye contact, or simlpe "how're you doing?" works well.
-the ennies booth is not for the storage of anything other than ennies materials and 1 backpack-worth of personal belongings of those working the booth (plus denise's briefcase). anything left at the booth is fair game for denise to claim and/or dispose of as she sees fit.
-volunteers are not to touch the contents of denise's "office", nor open any boxes stored in the back.
-volunteers will be awarded some swag at the end of the convention if they show up sunday. amount of swag will be commensurate with number of hours worked, but there are no hard and fast guarantees of what will be available.

Alright, some dumb questions. Where is the volunteer primer located so that I can make myself familiar with it?

Is there any good reference for me to get familiar with ennies history, past big winners, location, nominees etc?
