I predict that White Wolf's recent public relations nightmare (aka the pay-to-play announcement) will cause a backlash against them in the voting.

However, I hope I am wrong because they really do have some good products...

Best Adventure probably be Slavelords or Trouble.

As much as I appreciate the vote of confidence, there's no way I can gather enough votes to win. Having passed the judges' "quality" nominations process, we have now reached the test of widespread popularity and acceptance.

One thing you also have to consider, unfortunately, is that Osseum went defunct right at the launch of the product, so for even those few people who have heard of Bad Axe, most people have never seen Slavelords.

In this category I would predict, in roughly this order: Paizo/Necromancer, Goodman Games/Hero, followed by Bad Axe.

I encourage folks to prove me dramatically wrong. :p

You may be right Wulf. I had forgotten about the Osseum implossion effecting the distribution of certain books as opposed to the damage it wrought on certain publishers.

And heck, I didn't even think about a backlash against White Wolf for their pay to play policy. What was I smoking? Guess I'm thinking too much of the Ennies as their own thing as opposed to them taking place in a much bigger pond where all sorts of things shift under the water.

I humbly predict that Dawning Star will NOT win for Best d20 Game. I think the competition between Blue Rose and Arcana Evolved is an interesting--difficult to handicap. (Apologies to the guys at Pandahead and Troll Lord, but I think they're in my boat.) In the end, despite the wildfire that is True20, I think the lukewarmness of most to the BR setting will result in a win for Monte. I do think BR will win for Best Rules though; I venture to suggest it might be a slam dunk for them in that category.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you my own, personal hero, the Hand of Evil!

25,000 flyers shipping out to Indianapolis in order to be stuffed into the Gen Con attendee bags.

HOODYHOO!

Gee Wulf, and here I figured Cydonia and Maure were probably the two front-runners in the category. Cydonia's gotten a lot of good press on this site, and Bad Axe does great work.

Mind you, I want you to be dramatically wrong too. Just a wee bit less dramatically wrong than you'd like. :-)

(Still it's nice to see one of my Hero books finally get a bit of recognition, 20 years after I wrote my first Champions scenario for the Adventurer's Club).
