Now that publishers have gotten the books in for consideration, what's the timetable for announcements to be made on what books are being nominated for the awards?

We have set a soft date on when we want the nominations to be done, but before we announce that I want to hear back from two of the judges to make sure they can make it. Mark Davis is in the middle of a move right now and Kevin Kulp has had some personal losses he's dealing with. Hopefully we will have a solid date mid to late next week. The reading and evaluation proccess is in full swing for the judges and we are working hard at getting through the books. This year like last the over all quality of books is very high. Fill free to ask any other questions or whatever here and I'll try to get them asnwered. Thanks.

From what I've seen on the ENnies forum, they're hoping to have everything read by July 15th.

The fifteenth is solid. We are all currently "on schedule" for that date, and there doesn't seem to be much that is holding anyone up.

As Chris said above, quality is very high again this year. Though this year's "Meatgrinder of High Quality Products" category is "Best Setting"

(last years' was "Best Monster Supplement"...Legacy of Dragons didn't make the cut for criminy's sake! It was that competitive).

Is there a set date for when the Publisher bitch-fest about the nominations will begin?

I for one let this slide last year, so this year I am preparing ahead of time. My rant is up to about three pages.
