One thing I don't like off the bad is the PDF section. There are too many products there that are both PDF and print and in some cases, like with Mindscapes, the print version is a combined, but otherwise identical product. Should be pdf only or something along those lines to my old brain.

I have to agree with Joe on that one.

The print products have FAR greater market penetration than the PDF-only ones, thus really skewing the numbers, IMO.

Hound Post #1956 - The year that Felix Wankel developed the Wankel Rotary Engine. And there was much tittering.

I don't get it. Market penetration is irrelevant - if someone hasn't seen a product, they don't rate it, thus having no effect on its final average score.

Excellent.

I don't know how the scoring works this year, Russ.

I CERTAINLY look forward to the awards ceremony @ GenCon!

I wasn't worried about market penetration.

Instead, I'm more concerned about double dipping.

For instance, it could be possible to have as a best electronic product Mindscapes, which is in print also fall under say Best Rules Supplement. It also seems counter productive to have something be in there for electronic product when it's electronic and print.

Maybe next year a PDF only or electronic only?
