Ensorcelled blade off turn damage question

So: Ensorcelled Blade.

If one was a hybrid sorc, or another class with ensorcelled blade taken with half elves' dilettante racial, how would one type the damage on the off-turn damage rider (the one that is triggered if you are attacked)?

The ability says you get "damage equal to the extra damage from your Spell Source class feature"...which seems straightforward enough, until the second line that says the type of the damage matches type in your "Spell Source class feature."

Hybrid Sorc gets the sorcerous power feature, but would have to take the hybrid talent to get the damage type set. And a dilettante could take sorcerous power, but again would not have the type defined. The dilettante could take the "soul of sorcery" feat to get a resistance, but that doesn't technically give the Spell Source class feature.

Thoughts? Thanks!

I play a hybrid sorcerer/rogue and although I have the ensorcelled blade power I don't get the extra protection of the off turn damage at all. As you say, you need the spell source feature to get that. I had a good look but couldn't find any way of justifying it without the hybrid feat. I simply treat it the same way as some of the other sorcerer powers which don't grant all the benefits without the spell source feature. Saying that, its not clear, just the way we play it.
