Enterprise - Precious Cargo
Trip discovers a kidnapped Krios royal aboard an alien freighter, but her haughty behavior interferes with Trip's rescue efforts when the pair must share a cramped pod.

Tried and true plot. Now that we are more familiar with Trip, it should be fun and maybe they'll toss in a few interesting twists. :)

Wasn't a bad episode. A bit cliched even by Trek standards, but it worked. It was one of the more enjoyable Enterprise episodes. Trip storylines are often fun.

when did the tardis move into the ship's docking bay.
or has the capt not toured his ship
or did noone tell the sfx crew
the ship which docks with enterprise is almost the same size
yet good ole capt suggests to the kidnappers that they dock their ship in the docking bay and he will take them to their planet in 5 days??

I was wondering that myself. Does Enterprise have a docking bay of holding or something? :D

I think the writers and post-production crew in charge of effects probably weren't communicating very well in this ep.

Also, why did Trip use an escape pod when there was only one alien to overpower? Wouldn't it have been easier to simply commandeer the cargo ship than cram himself and the girl into a little tin can and hope they'd stumble across a Class-M somewhere (or maybe he was hoping to build up a little sexual tension or something, who knows?)

The interrogation scene was good too....

I'm just waitin' for the ep where the 'Borg supposedly show up (as mentioned in this thread).

Please don't send this thread reeling off the topic of this episode, HoVec. Start a new thread on the subject and leave this one to this episode, eh?

As others have said, the plot was cliched. Furthermore, the dialog and the First Monarch's outfit and acting were quite cheesy.

And I loved every minute of it. :D

Of all the Next Generation episodes, DS9 episodes, Voyager episodes, and everything up to this point in Enterprise...

This episode most perfectly captured the feel of the original series, cheese and goofiness and all. Hell, some of the music even sounded like it came from TOS.

For that reason alone, I wouldn't mind more like this, so long as they remain the exception and not the norm.

He didn't know that there was only one alien left on the ship.
