In cybernetics, the retinal implant upgrades include,
Night vision: This enables the user to see in darkness for 60’. Grants an environmental die in darkness or lowlight.

I'm a bit confused as to what an environmental die is supposed to be. Is this supposed to mean that the character's perception is reduced to 1 die instead of being blinded by darkness? Or is it something else?

Ah, that's a remnant of a previous edition that must have slipped through the cracks. The correct rule is that the character does not suffer penalties for that environment.

(The old rule was that the character got a +1d6 bonus in that situation, having learned to use it to their advantage).
