ENWorld Adventure Archive?

Legend
One of the great strengths of D&D, relative to virtually every other game out there, is the easy availability of pregenerated adventures of all types. With the demise of Dungeon, though, it looks like for a while at least we'll be without a source particularly of short adventures (suitable for a single game session, or perhaps two or three sessions). Various companies are still doing mid-length (32 page) adventures, and there are a number of Adventure Paths, Campaign Adventure or long adventures out there, but I don't see the same being particularly true of the shorter adventures.

One of the other things to note is that I'm not sure a single short adventure could really be a viable product in itself (certainly in print; I'm not sure about the pdf market), although a collection could be.

All of which leads me to wonder if there's scope for an online archive of fan-generated adventures, possibly here?

What I'm envisaging is an area set aside for people to upload adventures, ideally with a means then for others to rate and comment on the adventures (though this should probably be something the author can choose to switch on or off). Even better would be if the area allowed people to do 'parts' of an adventure - I can do text, for example, but am basically useless when it comes to cartography and artwork.

Thoughts?

The concept has largely been overtaken by the cheap PDF - the same thing, but it costs you a few dollars, and is better produced in terms of art and layout. It's how things are going.

But there are folks (like me) who have no desire to write a PDF and publish it. I'm not interested in selling my talents as a writer (if I have any), just producing something people might take and use for their own fun.

I, and probably dozens of other folks around here, have short adventures, sketches of adventures, and other bits of stuff hanging around as word docs, as wiki pages, etc... that could be very useful to the rest of the gamers around here.

So I think the idea has merit. It just needs to be organized a little bit...

I think this is a great idea, if the mods would make a download area for it... (hint, hint ;))

Other places to look in the meantime:
1) There are a number of places on the net already for homebrew adentures, though the quality varies (a lot). DnD Adventures, RPG Archive, etc. And there's Worldwide Adventure Writing Month for slightly longer adventures come June.
2) There are the EN World cooperative dungeons from a few years back, which were collaborative efforts (and published for free by CMG).

You mean, sort of like what Dragonsfoot is doing, only for 3e? They've got free pdf downloads of quite a few homebrew 0-1-2e adventures...it only makes sense that someone does the same for 3e, and here seems as good as any...
