EnWorlders at Origins?

Count me in, along with my wife, my brother and my three-year-old (who's very excited about getting new dice for herself and Mommy). This will be my wife's first major convention; I really hope she'll enjoy it.

We'll get to Columbus Thursday night, and spend Friday and Saturday in the dealer room and muscling in on any games we can, just like 'Hound. :)

Crothian - Do you have any suggestions on a restaurant we might be able to gather a dozen or so Enworlders (i.e., anyone who sees this thread and wants to come)? I have my heart set on having dinner at Schmidt's one night, but the other night is free...

I'll be there, working as a volunteer. I do want to play in the City of Heroes RPG though. Hopefully there'll be a slot open.

Within Walking distance there are some places, but I'm just not that familar with downtown eating. Within driving distance there are lots of places. I'll ask some people and see what I can come up with.

The convention center is within reasonable walking distance of the Arena District (Home of the Columbus Blue Jackets). There are lots of places to eat in that area.

Ya, that's just across the street and down not even a block. There are quite a few resurants over there but I've just never been in any of them. I miss Hockey.....

Also, just in case people haven't heard Friday of Origins is also Red , White and Boom our local and absolutely huge firworks dispay that is also down town. Roads will be closed Friday afternoon and evening as people flock downtown to see the fireworks. Some friends and I are talking about some Friday late night gaming just so when we leave we won';t have to fight as much traffic.

Gordon Biersch. Do it. You'll be glad you did. It's right around the corner from Nationwide Arena.

I'll be there this year. I'm pretty excited as last year was the first year I'd been there and really didn't know what to expect. Now that I know how much fun it is I'm ready and rarin' to go!

My schedule's pretty full with games from Wednesday evening until Sunday about noon. I'm signed up for a lot of miniatures war games so I'll be spending a bunch of time in the wargame/boardgames hall. When not gaming there I'll be cruising the dealers area trying to resist temptation.

Barleys is a brew pub right across the street from the convention center that has good food. (Try the saurkraut balls.) But yeah, there are lot's of restuants nearby, even a decent sushi place.
