My first post was kind of silly, let me rephrase...
ENworld is quite groovy. There are lots of cool people here and I enjoy reading your posts and interacting with you all. ENworld is a maaaaagical place and you never know what's going to come up.
I work for Blizzard Entertainment and I still have a few slots to sign "friends" up for the Worldof Warcraft beta. I was thinking that it would be great if I could give these accounts to fellow ENworlders who also enjoy Warcraft, MMORPGs ("Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games"), or even people who were interesting in giving such things a try.
So from now until... Noon (PST) Monday (July 5th), post to this thread with a poem, haiku, picture, or just anything that expresses your love for ENworld or Warcraft...Or both! (Bonus points for those of you who go for the "both" option.)
If the file of your entry is quite big, you can host it yourself on geocities/yahoo or something a post a link.
I'll choose three and sign them up for the beta. If you are one of the three chosen AND an ENworld community supporter when you enter, then I'll sign up one friend of yours as well.
Entries that incur the ire of Eric's Grandmother (TM) will be disregarded with extreme prejudice!
No purchase is necessary.
The current min system specs for the WoW beta are
- 800 Mhz CPU
- 256 MB RAM
- Geforce 2 Graphics Card
A broadband connection works best of course, but I’m told dialup is quite playable.
This is not an official contest and is in no way officially connected to ENworld, Blizzard Entertainment, or Vivendi/Universal. The only connection is me, and I’m doing this of my own volition because ENworld and, by extension each and every one of you, is cool. So don't go emailing any of these three entities about this because they won't know what in the nine levels of the Inferno you're talking about. (Although I did email Russ to let him know I wanted to do this madness.)
