What makes you say that, exactly? I can see no particular reason why something as enigmatic and incomprehensible as the draconic prophesy would prefer well-rounded heroes.

I was being somewhat facetious, but my comment was based on the fact that the ED increased a physical and mental stat. While it does favor some classes in particular, few classes would not benefit from an increase in both categories of stats, so its no biggie to me anyways.

So, no "come back from death" ability? Why that?
Is that an Eberron specific thing? Or does WotC want to prepare the playing field for an epic epic level handbook and tries to remove problematic abilities from EDs?

Not all epic destinies have a "come back from the dead" ability, so I don't think this is something particularly unique to Eberron, nor do I think that this presages a 30+ ELH.
