If it fits the concept of your character then go for it. It's a potent combination.

Also if you want potency go for Extend and Persistant spell. Of the top of my head, the following are spells you can have on all day with the new spells level next to it (according to 3.0, 3.5 it's 2 levels higher).

Divine Favor (5th)
Prayer (7th)
Recitation (8th)
Divine Power (8th)
Righteous Might (9th)
Vigorous Circle (10th)
Holy Star (11th)
Righteous Wrath of the Faithful (11th)
One the the 8th level alignment spells (12th)
Visage of the Deity, Greater (13th)
Time Stop :D

Did you know that a cleric at level 33 can cast Miracle at will as a standard action? Yes, it is easy as that. Just get heaps of Improve Spellcasting Capacity. Enough to Innate Spell a Miracle and you can cast any cleric spell 8th level or less or any arcane spell of 7th level or less with no experience points cost.

Imagine this as a character concept. A cleric for which magic is but an after thought. So plentiful that advance arcane magic is but a Miracle away.

See what I said in parentheses ;). Besides, some of us use 3.25 :D. I was dissapointed by the Persistant Spell change aswel and don't think it was as unbalanced as most people have said it was. I did ban Divine Metamagic though.
