Epic Feat Ideas

What do you think of these two epic feats?

EPIC QUICK-STRIKE [Epic, Fighter, Rogue]
You can strike even when you do multiple other things.
Prerequisites: Base attack +21, Improved Initiative, Quickdraw, Quick-Strike
Benefit: In a round in which you otherwise make no attacks, you may make one attack as a free action at the beginning or end of your turn.

FOCUSED ATTACK [Epic, Barbarian, Fighter]
You can focus on one strike in a round.
Prerequisites: Base attack +21, four iterative attacks, Power Attack
Benefit: You may choose to make a focused attack when you full attack. In doing so, you give up your second iterative attack and instead get a +3 bonus on your first attack roll in the round.

Quick-Strike is a non-epic feat imc that requires Quickdraw and Improved Initiative; if you have it, the first round of combat your initiative is treated as if you had rolled a 20. You roll normally the next round.

So what do you guys think about these two feats? I tagged them with which classes would be able to take them as epic-level bonus feats.

How do you get a Base Attack Bonus of 21+, if BAB progression stops in epic levels? Am I on crack?

Oh, comments... the Quickstrike feat is cool, but I wouldn't make it epic. I'm not sure it's prereq feat is worth it.
Focused attack is cool, but I wouldn't make it epic at all. Anyone should be able to do something like that, and the more attacks you turn in, the bigger the bonus you should get. An epic feat for +3 to hit isn't worth it, IMO.

I include Epic AB in BAB- the only thing it doesn't count for is iterative attacks. I believe some of the feats in the ELH use the same convention, but Idhmbifom.

Thanks for the feedback!

Personally, I'm wondering why anyone would ever take Focused Attack.

If I understand it correctly, you're giving up an attack to add a +3 chance to hit to another attack? Ugh. Unless I'm really misunderstanding it, that is one pathetic feat... for regular levels, let alone epic. If I'm giving up an attack at epic levels, it ought to be on the level of True Strike before I'm even going to consider it.

Right, here's a second draft. I dropped the BAB prereq, as I was wrong and other epic fighter feats don't have such a prerequisite. I also tried to turn them both up a notch in order to make them more 'epic.'

EPIC QUICK-STRIKE [Epic, Fighter, Rogue]
You can strike even when you do multiple other things.
Prerequisites: Improved Initiative, Quickdraw, Quick-Strike
Benefit: In a round in which you otherwise make no attacks, you may make one attack as a free action at any point during your turn.

FOCUSED ATTACK [Epic, Fighter]
You can focus on one strike in a round.
Prerequisites: Four iterative attacks, Power Attack
Benefit: You may choose to make a focused attack when you full attack with a non-light melee weapon. In doing so, you give up your second iterative attack and instead get a +5 bonus on your first attack roll in the round. You may instead to choose to make a single attack as a full-round action; you gain a +10 bonus on your attack roll.

Focused Attack still needs more power. I'm guessing you're intending this feat to be used against creatures with amazingly high ACs -- Armor classes where a +10 to your first attack will mean the difference between a hit and a miss.

As someone who is rapidly approaching epic levels with a character that would qualify for this feat, I would never, ever consider taking it.

If I'm at the point where only a 20 will hit it, I'm going to dump all my BAB into Power Attack and swing for the fences -- four attack rolls that *might* hit are way, way better than one attack that I can't guarantee will hit. Plus, if I hit, I'm doing a lot of extra damage from Power Attack.

There is no way I would even consider taking Focused Attack as a player unless it added at least +10/+20 for the two options. (Even then, I probably wouldn't take it, but I'm a Barbarian. A fighter would get more use out of it.)

maybe something like "you may spend a full round action and focus on one target. If you attack that target, you may add half of your base attack bonus and epic attack bonus to your attacks against that creature until the end of combat"

If it's epic, it needs to have a bigger effect. Maybe make it last longer. You don't need to use my example, I was just putting down stuff off of the top of my head.
