Relentless
Putting you down is a herculean task.
Prerequisites: Endurance, Diehard, Base and Epic Fortitude save total +15
Benefit: If you are reduced to zero or fewer hit points, but not killed, by an attack, you immediately regain enough hit points to raise your hit points to 1. In other words, you cannot be reduced to negative or zero hit points by any blow that doesn't immediately kill you.

Balanced?

Not sure if its balanced, but it doesn't immediately seem very 'epic'. Essentially what you are saying is that any attack which leaves you between 0 to -9hp is ignored. Wouldn't it just be better to take Improved Toughness - at epic levels - thats at least +21 hp?

Well I could see it being EPIC, as in a battle there could be several times you are taken below 0 and brought back, but in most cases something in the EPIC levels is going to do more than 10 points of damage. So it would only be good where you have about 50hp and then take damage which would put you under 0, but maybe not under -9. But don't see how this is different from the Die Hard Feat, which allows you to act normally until you hit death.

Though logicall it is better, but functionally, not much. Now if gamers have a house rule where your death is below -9 (usually based on CON and/or level) then it becomes much more useful.

I could only see this as being useful at levels low enough that your enemies deal an average damage of 10, meaning that sometimes you'll survive when brought down, and sometimes you won't. I think it would probably be balanced at that level as well, given sufficient prerequisits. At epic levels, the only time this would be useful is on those RARE occasions that you're hit JUST BARELY below 0. And even then, on your next hit you'd die anyway, since epic creatures basically never deal less than 10. At least not the ones I'm aware of.

Hi all! :)

Even thinking about it, the entire premise seems illogical. I mean imagine you were surrounded by orcs who kept striking you for 10 points of damage or less. You could survive an infinite number of these attacks without being killed.

Personally I think a combination of Damage Reduction and Improved Toughness are much better and more logical options.

Well, that is the entire goal of the feat, frankly. I admit that the Damage Reduction feats are better for the most part, but they do mesh nicely with this one.

Thank you for your feedback!
