Epic Level Dragons

How long does it take you to come up with the stats for your epic dragons? Do you type it by hand, or do you use a program to start it and touch up the rest by hand?

(I also offered to help, if you need it.)
Thanks for the offer!

I do it allllll by hand! For the Named Ones, I typically start with a Great Wyrm of the appropriate species and add about 20 HD to it to ensure that it's at least Colossal + size. Then, I go from there.

Once I get a new computer, I'll use E-Tools for regular Dragons and most regular NPCs.

Wowee..

I'm putting together a campaign with a Blue Dragon Demigod as the main villain, with various other dragons under him manoevering for some munchkinish powers of their own. On top of that, some common race PCs (starting at lvl 1, Ack!!) will be working their way up to bringing down this demigod at the same time (this may take a while :D)

Could you post the Blue Named One so I can leach some ideas? I promise not to steal the whole thing! (*forcibly uncrosses fingers*)

I haven't worked on the Named Ones in a while, so I can't promise to have anything up anytime soon.

However, here are some suggestions.

If the Blue Dragon you're playing with is a Demigod, then the abilities you give him will be salient divine abilities... if you're using Deities and Demigods. If that's the case, then special abilities you assign to him will be pretty powerful.

I think any special powers depend on the background of your dragon and his environment. If he lives in a desert, I'd give him an aura that allows him to call up a duststorm as a free action 1/day per Charisma modifier, applying penalties to attacker's atk bonuses and making them flat-footed since they can't really see the dragon.

How about giving the dragon a static charge? Any attack with a metal weapon runs the risk of harming the victim with static shock, dealing 1d4 points of damage plus half the damage the dragon suffers (due to the intensity of the impact).

Perhaps the Dragon can control winds...?

Many, many options to consider!

Thanks!

Excellent suggestions, the dragon is a former PC ( don't ask) so I'll have to talk it over with the player, but I'll let you know how things turn out. Unless they don't, in which case I guess not :D
